The Journey Begins
And so the experiment beings. This blog will tell the story of the book, Blogging Heroes by Michael A. Banks, as it travels from San Diego, California, to Logan, Utah.
At least, that’s the hope. It could be the case that the book completely disappears, in which case this blog will be boring and short lived! Well, to be fair, I’ll give the book 6 months before I call it mia. (25 April 2010).
Perhaps some people who find it will leave comments here on this blog. Others, I’m sure, won’t check the site. I have encouraged people to read however much of the book they want, and take comments in its margins. Hopefully, when the book reaches it’s destination, it will have even more of a story to tell.
The idea started like this; two friends from college and I started a new blog: 16Bit, stuff every programmer should learn. Shortly after that blogs creation, we were chatting online. I suggested that they read this book that I just finished. With them both being graduate students, and I having recently been laid off, nobody had any money for shipping. So I slapped a friendly note to the book, and am about to set it off on its way.

My name is “Blogging Heroes”, and I’m a book about blogging. I’m trying to get from San Diego to the Break Room on the fourth floor of old main at Utah State University in Logan, UT.
I have some friends waiting for me, and was wondering if you could help me get there? Even a little would help. Thanks! Just pick me up and move me a little in That Direction.
Feel free to read me, or even take notes in me! I want to learn as much about my trip as possible.
When I finally get home, I’ll make sure that my trip is told on bloggingheroes.orderinchaos.org
